How will I know when they’ve solved it?

Once the recipient has solved their Veiled Note and unlocked their message, an automated email will get sent to the sender to let them know it's been unlocked.

The recipient will also have an option to reply to the sender with a message (which will get emailed to you).

How does it work?

Please visit: https://www.theveilednote.com/how-it-works

Can I take it out of the envelope and hand it to the recipient?

We do not recommend you do this as the envelope plays a key part in the overall experience. Therefore it's best for the recipient to receive it in the way it was packaged and shipped.

What different Veiled Note options are there, and how do they differ?

There are currently two versions of the Veiled Note. Both contain different sets of puzzles and have a slightly different style. They are stand alone products so you can purchase whichever you prefer.

VeiledOne

The Original Veiled Note is perfect for anyone and any occasion. It can be experienced solo, as a pair, or with group of people. It's also a good option for something social and interactive to do at a small gathering.

VeiledFest

Veiled Fest has a background theme of a music festival. Access to the Internet via computer or smartphone is required during the puzzle solving stage for this product.

How hard is the Veiled Note to solve? How long will it take?

All of the puzzles range in difficulty levels. Some are relatively straightforward whilst others require a little more time and patience.

The puzzles will test a combination of different skills - lateral thinking, numerical, observational etc. Some people are good at certain types of puzzles and not so good at others which is why there is a diverse mixture included.

In addition, clues are available should a helping hand be required.

The time required can vary depending on how many people are working together, whether you are doing it socially over lunch or whether it has your full attention. However, it takes on average 30 – 90 minutes.

What information does the welcome letter contain?

Please find below an example:

Dear [Recipient],

Someone you know has sent you a veiled note. A veiled note is no ordinary note - It’s a special message hidden away in a vault.

In this envelope you’ll find a collection of puzzles which you must complete to gain access to the vault. Only then can your message be unveiled and shared with you.

The answer to each puzzle will be a number between 1-99.

Attempt the puzzles in any order you like – it may be tough, but you can always get a clue or two along the way. To unveil your message, you will also need to work out the order of the puzzle answers. No pressure!

Best of luck,

The Veiled Note

What age is it suitable for?

We would recommend sending The VeIled Note to those above the age of 14 years old due to the difficulty of the puzzles. However anyone can take part in helping to solve the puzzles. It's great to get youngsters involved to help improve their lateral thinking skills which is why many of our customers do it as a family.

If this option is selected during the order process, it will be written on the envelope so hopefully the receipient will wait until that date to open it and complete the puzzles.

Should they complete the puzzles ahead of that date, they will not be able to see their message as it will only be made live on the date stated.
